Keeping the Fire is the second full-length album from the Eyal Netzer / Milton Michaeli duo, due November 2026, following 2023's Shine. Recorded for tenor saxophone and piano, it continues the duo's approach — strong melodic writing paired with open improvisation — but pushes further into intensity and rhythmic drive, shaped in part by the wartime conditions the sessions were recorded under. Singles will roll out ahead of the album; this page will be updated as each one lands.

About the Duo

Eyal Netzer / Milton Michaeli is a saxophone and piano duo rooted in free improvisation, strong melodic writing, and deep musical listening. Eyal Netzer, a saxophonist and composer active across jazz, improvised music, and contemporary composition, brings a sound shaped by spiritual jazz and Middle Eastern musical traditions. Pianist Milton Michaeli has performed and recorded with leading figures of the free jazz and improvised music worlds, including Hamid Drake and William Parker. Together, they have developed a highly responsive musical language in which written material and spontaneous invention continually reshape one another.
